DOWNLOADTHE FREE WELCOME PACK HERE! For your privacy, no email registration required! If you’re looking for help to overcome panic attacks and you’re considering some sort of therapy as an option you may be feeling nervous or apprehensive, or perhaps a little sceptical, or even worried that you can’t be helped. Allow me to reassure you that this is perfectly normal, and it’s something most people feel when they’re looking for help to tackle a personal matter, such as panic attacks. It’s hard to imagine what someone else could say or do to help you conquer your anxiety and panic that you haven’t already tried yourself! Having successfully helped thousands of people triumph over what they thought was impossible, I believe that many symptoms and problems - like most other problems we encounter in life - can be brought to a successful and satisfying resolution when the right approached is used.

BASIC FACTS ABOUT PANIC ATTACKS

The terms 'panic attack' and 'anxiety attack' are interchangeable. They both refer to the experience of suddenly being overwhelmed by intense feelings of panic and dread. You feel as though you are about to die or suddenly lose complete control. Panic attacks are very frightening and distressing, and can leave you feel totally helpless and unstable. They typically come with strong physical symptoms such as shortness of breath and dizziness. Panic attacks usually last around 5 - 20 mins. Many first-time sufferers mistakenly believe they are having a heart attack. Alternatively people worry they are going 'mad'. Allow me to reassure you that you are not going mad and that panic attacks typically respond well to treatment. For this reason some sort of therapy for panic attacks is very much advised; don't feel you have to suffer any longer than you already have!

COMMON SYMPTOMS OF A PANIC ATTACK

  •     Strong feeling of anxiety or fear
  •     Dizziness
  •     Disorientation
  •     Heart palpitations / arrhythmia
  •     Tightness in chest
  •     Trembling
  •     Sweating
  •     Tingling in limbs
  •     Choking or shortness of breath
  •     Ringing in ears
  •     Sense of impending doom
  •     Feeling overwhelmed

WHY AM I EXPERIENCING PANIC ATTACKS?

There can be any number of potential causes of panic attacks so I work with people on a individual basis to provide them with the space, support, and skills to get to the root of the problem. No matter what you’re going through right now, I want you to know that you’re not weak, and you’re not crazy or weird. If you were crazy you wouldn’t be worried about what’s happening and you wouldn’t be exploring ways to help yourself improve things!

As you probably know, we each have a conscious and an unconscious mind. Panic attacks can be caused by either conscious or unconscious issues. For example, let's say you had an unsettling experience in which you felt totally out of control. You consciously remember it and consciously want to avoid it at all costs, so you start to always be on the look out, worried about situations or circumstances that might cause you to feel that way again. Before long the stress mounts and you start to feel panicky. You consciously try to suppress it and stop it from happening, but eventually you experience a panic attack.

In a similar way there may be unconscious anxieties and fears, or situations you wish to avoid, or needs that you want to meet, and your unconscious mind can either produce a panic attack on cue to fulfill those unconscious aims, or the panic attack ensues when the pressure of those unconscious anxieties becomes too much. In this regard the panic attack is more like the release of a pressure valve! Whether your panic attacks started because of unconscious or conscious reasons, one thing is for certain: once you've had one, you never want another! Panic attacks then become a conscious issue you want to avoid! You start to fear and expect the next, and whether the next one is in 2 hours or 2 weeks, that in-between time can be just as bad as the panic attack itself.

THE BENEFITS OF GETTING HELP FOR YOUR PANIC ATTACKS

One of the less talked about benefits of therapy, beyond bringing your panic attacks to an end, is that you walk away with a deeper level of self-insight, which enables you to feel more at peace with yourself and have better relationships with other people and the world around you. You feel like a better, stronger version of yourself, and you’re able to create a better life for yourself and the people around you. I’m sure you’ll see from the numerous verified reviews on my website that this isn’t just some shallow sales speak. Even though I’m in the business of therapy, I’m not the least bit interesting in selling you anything that won't benefit your life. My passion and joy comes from seeing real people make real transformations to their lives. I’m comfortable sharing with you that before I became a therapist I also needed some help in the past and it was hands-down the best thing I've ever done for myself. I aim for all my clients to walk away saying the same thing.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION?

The initial consultation is a very relaxed and informal process that usually lasts around an hour, but can extend to 2hrs in some cases if we have a lot to discuss. In the initial consultation we'll have a cup of tea or coffee and start by discussing your symptoms. I'll then ask you a few questions about your current life and background, as well as doing one or two quick questionnaires that will help me get to know you better. We will then discuss your treatment options and talk through any worries or concerns you may have. Once we agree on a way forward we'll arrange a date from which to commence. You are of course under no obligation to commence treatment if it doesn't feel right. It's important that you find a therapist you feel comfortable with. The main aim of the initial consultation is to provide us with an opportunity ensure we are well-suited to work together. I understand that therapy involves an input of your time and money so I make every effort to ensure you have a rewarding experience.

HOW WILL YOU HELP ME OVERCOME MY PANIC ATTACKS?

Naturally most people don’t know what to do when things get out of control. Sometimes my clients have only just started experiencing panic attacks, while others have been battling with anxiety and panic for a number of years. For some clients panic attacks are part of a broader range of symptoms and problems they are struggling with. Everybody's needs are different and over the years I developed a unique way of helping people that I refer to as Sequential Psychotherapy. Whether you're interested in a specific type of therapy such as hypnotherapy, cognitive therapy, analytical therapy, coherence therapy, or counselling, or you simply don't know what help you need, sequential psychotherapy draws on all these approaches to provide you with a map of what steps we can take to help you overcome your symptoms and improve your life. If, like most people, you're unsure of what therapy actually is and how it can help, or it all just seems a bit confusing and new, I made this easy-to-understand video to walk you through the basics...

The initial consultation is a very relaxed and informal process that usually lasts around an hour.

HOW WILL YOU HELP ME OVERCOME MY ANXIETY?

Naturally most people don’t know what to do when things get out of control. Sometimes my clients have only just started experiencing anxiety, while others have been battling with anxiety for a number of years. For some clients anxiety is part of a broader range of symptoms and problems they are struggling with.
